Please any answer or legal advice I have a custody and visitation agreement in South Carolina

Please any answer or legal advice I have a custody and visitation agreement in South Carolina where my ex lives with our child. My 16-year-old son is entitled to stay with me all summer, but my ex-wife has decided he can only visit me (in Alaska) if I buy a ticket for the return flight before I pick him up at the end of May.

I had a small financial setback last month and would have no problem taking it if you let me pay for it in july and the return trip wasn't until mid august but it didn't budge.

There's nothing about that in the custody agreement and it's not too late before, can she just withdraw that kind of request? She specifically claims she doesn't want any "hurdles" such as selling out all flights.

Thanks for any help
