United Arab Emirates A reckless Delta Airlines passenger was arrested after opening a door on a plane he was on and using an emergency slide to disembark as the plane was preparing to take off from Los Angeles to Seattle on Saturday, officials said.
The incident was detected aboard Delta Flight 1715 at approximately 10:45 a.m. local time while the plane was stationary at Los Angeles International Airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The administration stated that the plane, a Boeing 747, was preparing to move on the runway for takeoff when the passenger left the plane after activating the emergency slide.
The passenger was initially detained by Delta employees before being arrested by local law enforcement authorities, according to the statement.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the accident and the Los Angeles Police Department is seeking additional information regarding this passenger
