Would an individual be able to lawfully record sound and video within a private home without the consent of mortgage holder?

Would an individual be able to lawfully record sound and video within a private home without the consent of mortgage holder? She didn't lawfully reside in the home, no mail, no utilities and her permit is at another people home. She was a "visitor" in the home. (Destitute with a baby and taken motel) she has recorded private discussions and recordings of minor youngsters. I'm not such a lot of stressed over the substance of the recording as there's no unlawful conduct, however an immense break of security.
