Please help!  My daughter is 12 and has recently confessed to me she has an eating disorder and suicidal thoughts along with cutting .  I took her right away to a crisis center for an evaluation and to get the appropriate help she needs.  Her father is preventing me from getting her a new therapist.  Our daughter has said many times she does not like her current therapist and is not talking to her about any of these matters.  He says he will block it.  He is making this about me or him when it is only about our child.  I am worried and just want her to get help.

If necessary petition family court to put in a court order so he can’t refuse. I would think at age 12 she could decide as well. Judges often talk to the kids, so her opinion and feelings should be taken into consideration.
