I got divorced but after about a year of divorce my ex-husband and I decided to try our relationship again. After being together for about a year and everything was fine, he ended up needing another vehicle because he wasn't in the best condition. He had no credit so I co-signed for him. He's had the vehicle for about 18 months and he's established some credit (score is in the 600s). We went to a credit union to refinance the vehicle to get a lower rating. I won't be on this loan but the lady told me my name would still be on the registration. She said why, but honestly, I don't remember. I want no association with the vehicle and would prefer not to have my name on the registration. If my name is to remain on the registration, would I have a legal obligation to the vehicle?
