Hi, I am looking for some advice when we moved into our house, the rent was 3000 and we paid a deposit plus 3000, the rent went up to 3500 and now since we want to leave, she says she needs to pay an additional 500 is that right?

They cannot keep or spend your deposit which is against the law and any damage etc to them at check out. Regarding the rent payment, it can only do so with your consent and thus with a new lease agreement. If you didn't agree to the increase then you should have left, but you can't ask for more money unless a new lease that you both signed gave you.
