Hello, I am an Irish Citizen. My husband is a US Citizen and we both live in Canada. I am trying to find information on what Visa I should apply for to be able to cross the border by land to visit family. Because of covid and because I do not have status in the US, the only way I can visit is to fly down. Its only a 3 hour drive  versus 8 hour travel time through airports because there is no direct flight from Canada to great falls. Any information would be appreciated.

Answer

As an Irish citizen you have ESTA available to you. Please read about it here: https://ie.usembassy.gov/visas/visa-waiver-program/. You can come to US with approved ESTA for a maximum stay of 90 days. Also, your US citizen husband may apply for a green card for you. Green Card application process might take up to 18 months nowadays because of COVID delays
